There will be Reindeer on the Rotunda (at the North Street end of Friary Street), unicorns outside Debenhams (!), a host of children’s entertainment around town throughout the afternoon plus live music on the Experience Guildford stage outside Holy Trinity Church, at Guildford Fringe Buskers’ Corner and from roaming choirs.
Find the EG Christmas Elves as they dash around town throughout the day (3 – 6 & 7 – 8), take a selfie with them and share it via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using #ElfieSelfie and #GuildfordLights to be entered in to a prize draw to win a family ticket to this year’s Yvonne Arnaud pantomime, Cinderella (T&Cs apply).
At 6.00pm 96.4 Eagle Radio’s Peter Gordon will host the balcony show from the Guildhall ahead of the light switch on at 7.00pm. Meet the cast of the Yvonne Arnaud panto, Cinderella, along with local sports teams and surprise guests. Afterwards, there will be a spectacular firework display courtesy of White Lion Walk and even more music at the Experience Guildford stage.
This year there will be two dedicated quiet spaces at Cosy Club and Skipton Building Society, so that those who might find the crowds a little overwhelming can still soak up the atmosphere of the evening.
