Get Surrey reports: SINGER Gary Barlow will perform at the Chiddingfold pub owned by DJ Chris Evans to raise money for Children in Need.
The X Factor judge and Take That frontman announced live on Evans' BBC Radio 2 breakfast show on Friday that he would play an intimate show at the Mulberry Inn next year as part of the annual fundraising drive.
Announcing the concert during a phone-in on the show, Barlow said he had "always dreamed" of playing at the pub. It will be the smallest gig of his 20-year career, being held in a teepee in the grounds.
He said: "I've played many venues in my life - stadiums, arenas, theatres.
"That's the only reason I've agreed to it really, apart from the charity aspect - I can't wait to play in your pub," Barlow said to Evans.
The 'Dine and Disco' gig will be on July 6, and tickets for the 30 tables of guests will be put into a raffle to raise money for Children in Need.
