We live by the philosophy that when it comes to preparing for tests and exams, the more strategies a child has the better the outcome. The best possible way is for the child to be in the driving seat, rather than being nagged by their fed-up parent. We hear far too much about ‘helicopter parenting’ so the more help our children have to learn and revise independently, all the better in our opinion.
So when we came across Think Kit’s revisions kits, suitable for common entrance exams, 11+, GCSE, A Level and University students, we were keen to try them out on our own children.
The kits come with coloured and white index/revision cards with a storage box and binding rings. Also a really useful 12-week revision wall planner with colour-coded stickers and a user guide, plus various items of stationery including pens, post-it notes and so on, all supplied in a Think Kit branded drawstring bag.
Our older children were very excited to test out the kits and rushed off upstairs to decant the contents onto their desks and get going. We hoped the enthusiasm would continue and to a large extent, it has!
They found the flash cards really useful for separating topics and for languages. The calendar planner was excellent when exams were looming. The storage bag is great to keep everything in and was easily found with a quick glance around a messy room!
This is the only comprehensive revision and study kit we could find and it certainly saved us time trawling through various stationers and online to find all the resources within. The pointers on revision were very useful and motivating for the children.
All in all these kits, priced at £34.99 on Amazon, provide a great saving on the contents within. The kits can be purchased from the Amazon Think Kit Revision & Study Pack page or visit the Think Kit website for more info.
