Historic Life Weekend at Weald and Downland

Brooklands RetroJumble and Classic Car Show

The annual RetroJumble, organised by the Brooklands Trust Members, returns to Brooklands. Last year there were over 80 stands selling everything from vintage clothing to motoring memorabilia and car boot jumbles. And now there is the BTM Classic Car Show on the same day to fill the Museum site with classic vehicles of all ages. The show is open to anyone with a classic, vintage or veteran vehicle and there is discounted Museum entry for advance booking with a classic vehicle. (Brooklands Trust Members free). Car clubs are welcome. All cars will be judged and prizes awarded in three categories. Normal Museum admission charges apply.

Fairground Weekend & Mechanical Organ Gathering at Hollycombe Steam Museum

We will also be running on Wednesdays from 4th to 25th August. Trains run from 1:00pm till 4:00pm, with the last tickets being sold at 3.45pm.

For safety reasons children under 2 years cannot be conveyed.

The Great Big Tree Climb at Morden Hall Park

Top of the Tudor Pops at Surrey History Centre

The children will also love watching the working blacksmith in the museum’s smithy. The reconstructed iron furnace and the wood yard will both be in action.

Brooklands Summer Fête Fun

Squire’s Garden Centres popular “Create & Grow” activities for children are back this summer. There are different craft and planting activities each week - available on Mondays, Tuesdays and also on Wednesdays at selected centres. Activities cost between £2.50 and £6. There are also free activities every week including spot the difference sheets, word searches, and paper mazes. Each child receives a sticker when they complete the free activity. There’s no need to book for any of the activities, simply turn up on the day between 9am and 12.30pm. Excludes Squire’s in Chertsey.
