Father Christmas is a very popular and busy man. However, here at Surrey Mummy we have some elf contacts and have managed to get hold of his timetable for 2018.
So, if you are wondering where your child can see the Mr Claus this year, check below for a list of Santa’s grottos in Surrey.
Visits to Father Christmas do get booked up fast, so please don’t leave it to the last minute if you are hoping for some magical festive moments with your little ones.

When: Nov 25 to Dec 24
Cost: Prices vary depending on whether you want to include a pass to all Birdworld attractions.
Meet the reindeer and some other animals before entering a magical winter wonderland to meet Santa and his elves and receive a present.
When: Dec 2 11am - 3pm
Cost: £3 - no need to book
Santa will be paying a surprise visit to the museum as part of the Christmas market. Little ones can meet Santa and tell him all their special Christmas wishes. Each child will receive a gift to take home.
Santa Specials at The Rural Life Centre
When: Dec 8 & 9, 15 & 16
Cost: £13.50 per child and £8.50 per adult
Take a ride on a train and see some lights, animals and decorations before meeting the big man himself and getting a small gift. There will be mince pies and punch for the adults.
Santa Specials on The Watercress Line
When: Every weekend in December
Cost: Adults & children 1-16yrs £18, Babies under 1yr £10.
A magical steam train ride to see Santa and his jolly helpers and receive a gift. There will also be festive food and drinks, singing and an activity pack for children on the journey.
Squire’s Garden Centres
When: Weekends from November 25 and throughout December
Cost: £6 per child
Children can visit Santa at one of the Squire’s garden centres throughout Surrey. Please head to the Squire’s website for more details about the different magical experiences on offer and how to book.
When: Nov 22 to Dec 24
Cost: Prices vary and can be included on a farm entry ticket.
Children hop on board the Santa Express trailer with one of the elves for a short ride, heading through magical gates to the workshop, set deep in a traditional hay barn. In the grotto, each child will meet Father Christmas and receive a wrapped present.
Santa’s Grotto at Chessington Garden Centre
When: Nov 24 to Dec 24
Cost: Children £14.50 and adults £4
Children will visit the Christmas Creations Room before going on a fantastical journey to meet Father Christmas in his traditional grotto. The experience will include a craft workshop, two photo opportunities, interactive experiences and a meet and greet with Father Christmas.
When: Dec 2 and 9
Cost: £7 per child.
Enjoy a golf buggy ride to a trail of clues around the grounds which will lead you to Santa's Grotto and make a Christmas decoration in Gatton Hall.
Hobbledown Farm and Adventure Park
When: Selected dates between Nov 24 and December 24th
Visit Santa and receive a wrapped gift and a candy cane.
Fishers Farm Park
When: Dec 1-24
Cost: Added to the price of your farm entry ticket
Father Christmas will be at Fishers meeting all the good boys and girls in his magical Grotto. Children get to pick their own present in the mesmerising Toy Factory which is sure to kick-start the Christmas excitement!
Santa Fir Christmas Tree Farm
When: Dates in December – check website
Cost: £3.50 including gift, with all proceeds going to charity
Meet Santa and some lovely reindeer, take a ride on the Santa Express and post your Christmas wish list. You can also pick your own Christmas tree at the same time.
Santa’s Cellar Grotto at Denbies
When: Every weekend in December
Cost: £8.25 per child and £3 per adult
Enjoy a warm welcome from Santa’s elves and an outdoor train ride followed by a visit to see Father Christmas. Price includes a gift, train ride, sticker book, crafts and mince pies for the adults.

Cost: Varies depending on date and time
Combine farmyard fun with a festive visit to Father Christmas. Let little ones explore the scenic walkthrough with some friendly elves and take part in Christmas crafts before meeting the man himself! Each child receives a present and then the adventures continue with decorating delicious gingerbread men and listening to a story.
Stories and songs with Santa at RHS Wisley
When: Selected dates from Nov 28 to Dec 23
Cost: Prices vary
Meet Santa, listen to a classic Christmas tale, have a sing-along and a story with the man himself and receive a small gift. On selected dates, you can also decorate delicious gingerbread to take home.
Santa at Claremont
When: Dec 8 & 9
Father Christmas has taken time out of his busy schedule to visit Claremont Landscape Gardens. He has even decorated the Thatched Cottage to make you all feel festive.
When: Dec 1, 2, 8, 9, 22 & 23
Meet Father Christmas in his cosy sitting room. Each child will meet Father Christmas and receive a wrapped present from him. Children can also meet Mrs Christmas on December 15 & 16.
When: Dec 2, 9 & 16
Cost: £9 per person plus £2 booking fee
Trains run round the specially decorated site to deliver children to Santa's Grotto where each child will receive a present.
Weald & Downland Museum
When: Dec 8, 9, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22 & 23
Cost: £10, including a gift and museum entry
The museum is hosting a very special guest - Green Father Christmas (Old Winter) who will be selecting presents from a large wooden chest to give to each child that he meets. Every child can spend time with Green Father Christmas before receiving a traditional toy wrapped in brown paper and string.
